The Veuve Leather Thin Collar

Although the Adoreadane products are made with the highest quality products & craftsmanship, it’s really important to look after these products to ensure they last as long as possible. When you first receive your order, you may find that the leather is slightly stiffer initially. This is to be expected with any real leather product. We recommend using a good quality leather conditioner to soften the leather, which in time will mould to your dogs' necks/noses the more it is worn.

Step By Step:

• Wet a soft cloth and wring it out thoroughly.
  
• Wipe your collar or head collar down with the cloth. Rub the cloth up and down along the collar to remove any loose dirt or dust.
  
• Use a damp sponge to apply your preferred conditioner. Do not soak the sponge in water!
  
• Using too much soap or putting too much lather on your leather will cause the leather to dry out.
  
• Cover all the leather on both sides, and between layers (if it’s a double-layer collar) by gently rubbing the sponge up and down.
  
• It’s crucial to let the leather dry fully after cleaning and/or conditioning. Do not place on a radiator etc, as the heat may cause the leather to change shape.

Dry / Wet Leather

• If your collar appears dry/cracked or has gotten exposed to water on a regular basis, follow up the cleaning step with a light conditioning. NEVER CONDITION A DIRTY COLLAR OR LEASH! Always wipe clean with a damp cloth and allow to air dry before using.
  
• If your dog decides to go swimming in their Adoreadane collar/head collar, don’t panic! Simply lay the collar flat to dry, then clean and condition it as described above.
